U.S. Eisenhower Dollar 1971-S 40% Silver Brilliant Uncirculated |
The U.S. Mint revived the traditional-size silver dollar in 1971 after a 35-year hiatus. This first 40% U.S. silver dollar issued directly to collectors had just 6% of the 1971 total circulation copper-nickel Ike dollar output. Shown are President Eisenhower and the "Eagle on Moon" Apollo 11 emblem (our space program began under Ike's administration). Brilliant Uncirculated. 38.1mm
